Day Courses.
Forest Knights has been teaching wilderness skills including bushcraft for over 20 years. we are one of the leading bushcraft Schools in the UK.

Our range of day courses are designed to suit all those interested in the great outdoors.  In these increasingly busy and stressful times taking time for yourself to slow down and be be creative is increasingly necessary.

Our day courses are suitable for all ages and abilities.  From our introductory courses in First Aid and Bhutanese Bow Making through to our Cookery days.

Why not learn a new skill such as Spoon Carving.  Our spoon carving course is a perfect opportunity to relax and discover the simple pleasure of whittling a spoon from greenwood.  Our craft courses are held within the spectacular South Downs National Park.

All forest knights bushcraft courses are either bespoke or small group courses.  We will always ensure that you feel comfortable and confident that you have achieved above your expectations.

A typical day course with Forest Knights starts at 09:30 and finishes approx 16:30. Some course times may differ.

The majority of our day courses are self catered.  Bring a packed lunch or something to cook over the fire.

Wood Spirit Carving


Spent a gentle day by our camp fire learning to carve a Wood Spirit.

This course is for everyone wanting to learn more about wood carving wood spirits and little folk.

Spoon Carving


A relaxing day learning the traditional skills of spoon carving.  This course is for everyone wanting to learn more about the history, design of spoons and how to safely carve your chosen design.

Winter Survival Day


A great day out in the South Downs National Park. Learning that even in winter you can enjoy bushcraft and not only survive but thrive. Winter offers a great opportunity to hone your skills and appreciate the beauty of our ancient woodlands.

Foraging day


1 Day Foraging  Course.  Forestknights instructors will help you find a range of wild edibles to supplement your diet.  Located in the beautiful South Downs National Park.

Helving an Axe 1 Day Course.


Learn to replace your axe helve.  Carve a new handle and fit to your axe head.  1 day course to carve your own axe handle out of Ash and fit it to your axe head.

Knife Handling


Spend a  day in our shelter with the team from Forestknights learning how to shape a handle for your favourite knife.
