Emergency First Aid at Work Course
1 Day Course. 6 Hours training.
This course is designed for a low risk environment where there is access to the emergency services as soon as is practical.
On completion of training, you will be able to:
Understand the role of the first aider, including reference to:
i) The Health and Safety at Work Act and other legislation including RIDDOR.
ii) the need for recording incidents and actions
iii) use available equipment.
To quickly assess a situation and provide an appropriate level response.
Dynamic Risk assessment.
Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious, Recovery Position
Manage Epilepsy Seizures.
Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking.
Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
Effectively manage burns and scalds.
Diabetes.
Maximum number of Students 12.
Locations:
Forest Knights are lucky to have a number of venues within West Sussex. Generally our first aid courses will be at Amberley or Lodgehill Activity Centre.
We are happy to travel to your venue to deliver a bespoke course tailored for the needs of your organisation.
