Romania is a stunning location for those that love wildlife and history. During our journey you will be able to view ancient Dacian and Roman remains plus visit the Hatag UNESCO Geo Park one of the best locations in Europe for fossils.
Our Destination of Densus is a step back in time. The village maintains its connection with its rural past with small farms being managed using traditional techniques. Large Orchards of plums trees for the local liqueur are grazed with flocks of sheep being tended by Shepherds and their dogs. The dogs are necessary to protect the flocks from the local wildlife. Bear, Wolf and Lynx all can be found in the surrounding hills. If we are lucky we may be able to spot one.
Our local guides will give us the best chance of spotting the rich wildlife of the area whilst we practice some of our bushcraft skills.
Our accommodation will be in local Hotels plus we will spend a night or two under canvas to properly immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the Carthaginians.
As usual with Forest knights are itinerary will be flexible to best reflect the interests of the group and the prevailing conditions. We never forget that the our clients come first.
The trip has been carefully designed to give you the opportunity to experience the rich history and culture of the region. There will be something for those interested in history and culture and those wishing to spend more time in the mountains looking for wild life.
